About Us

Steve Wild Boars TrainingWelcome to Wild B.O.A.R.S.! My name is Steve Schroeder and I have been writing, training, and teaching about customer loyalty solutions for over 10 years. I am a contributing author to many different publications such as one of my favorites, The Loyalty Guide IV, the bible of research inside the loyalty industry, published by The Wise Marketer.

I have worked with many different Fortune 500 companies on designing and implementing best practices, marketing, advertising and customer loyalty solutions.  I have developed the Bachelor of Arts in Rewards Science (B.O.A.R.S) training program as a way to provide world class research, experience and knowledge to those individuals and firms seeking to build a career in the loyalty marketing industry.

The mission of our website is twofold:

  1. Help sales executives understand the loyalty marketing industry and separate fact from fiction; and
  2. Train sales professionals how to actually close deals in the loyalty marketing industry.

We accomplish these objectives by focusing on education rather than the typical ‘sales’ or ‘closing’ process. An effective educator will not need any ‘closing’ techniques. Their potential clients will request and desire to do business with them since we focus on looking out for the clients best interests rather than our own. We literally help clients choose other solutions if we feel ours may not be the best for them, it’s the difference between selling and educating and the difference between manipulation and integrity.  You see Wild B.O.A.R.S. is for people who wish to make Customer Loyalty their profession. We strive to find people with a strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and do the best job they possibly can.

We think very differently from the status quo and firmly believe the vast majority of businesses are terribly underserved by their loyalty program vendor, assuming they even have a program installed. Many so called ‘marketing experts’ are not versed in best practices or common sense marketing. Proper marketing solutions is a changing target and requires a strong work ethic accompanied with a constant desire to become better.

Many of us recognize that certain athletes such as Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant, and others are usually the first ones in the gym and the last ones out. In other words, they don’t rest on simply being good, they want to be the best they can be, and put forth the work ethic required of such an endeavor. This mentality is not only rare in athletics, it’s even harder to find in business. We have seen an economic crisis develop in our country due to a shortcut mentality and complete lack of integrity, work ethic and desire to learn.  This is especially true with larger companies who may be staffed with very high paid personnel and a ton of talent. But, unless that talent is held accountable and develops a strong work ethic, we end up seeing very talented people produce less than desired results.

The proof of this mindset is everywhere which you’ll learn from my Blog and Twitter feeds. This knowledge gap creates a very real profit opportunity for all of us. When you train with the B.O.A.R.S., you learn the facts backed up by leading industry research and plain old common sense.

Sincerely,

Steve Schroeder aka “The Big Tusk”

  • Wild Boar Factoids

The classic wild boar is vigilant, athletic, fast and tough…and he is merciless. Most adult boars are 150 to 250 pounds (just like most of our resellers. Boars have longer heads for brainpower and smaller ears since they do more consulting than listening but listen hard when it matters most.
